Velocity

 A train is traveling from NewYork to Chicago. The length of the trip is 22 hours and 15 minutes. The Distance the train travels is 725 miles.  Please answer the following questions. 


A.  What is the average velocity of the train? 

B.   Would the train have a greater distance or displacement  at the end of the trip? 

C. What would the speed of the train be if the trip took 8  hours?

    Ok, so this train’s average speed is going 32.6 mph with the distance being greater than its displacement. The approximate time it takes to get from New York to Chicago is 8 hours so it would be at 90.6mph.
