It has gotten much attention lately, this is because there are people that believe you should not interfere with what naturally happens in nature. Genetic engineering has many benefits, but some drawbacks too.

  13. It helps pests and diseases stay away from plants, so this helps farmers produce more of it resulting in more food. Another advantage is because we get more food without pests destroying them, we can feed more people, and possibly even bring down the price, since there is so much of the plants.
